Pakistan is such a country where percentage of poverty is too high and most of the families are unable to face the dearness and support their family members. Keeping the act in mind, the businessmen voluntarily arranged to sell item of daily uses on a fixed day and place. Such shopping is arranged on Juma, so it is called, Juma Bazar.
Now a days, Juma Bazar is arranged at various places of Karachi. On last Friday, I visited Karimabad Juma Bazar. The Bazar was arranged under tents and separate stalls were arranged for each item. I purchased some vegetables which were to cheap. After that, i went to fruit stalls and purchased bananas, apples and grapes. There I observed a huge rush of ladies, who were mostly purchasing vegetables, fruits and other commodities of daily usage. The Juma Bazar has proved a boon for those women who are compelled to support with low income.
Though, there were stall of shoes, clothes, ready made garments and cosmetics etc., but there was no much rush. This proves that the people of lower categories do not waste money in luxury.
The businessmen, who sell commodities on cheaper prices, are appreciable and the government should encourage them and should introduces such bazars in every area. This will surely control the monopoly of greedy businessmen.
