Every year after admissions of new students the time of college union election comes. This year also the college union election held in our college. The principal announced the date of election. He advised the students to keep clean and fair policy in election to avoid such activity which brings enemity among students. He told us that election was the secondary object of student where as study was the primary object of student life. We very happily and cordially accepted his advice and promised to follow his adivse.
There were two parties in our college and both of them started convassing, presented their manifestos and pasted posters and pamphlets. Both of them were arranging meeting in very discipline manner. Twenty four hours before the election, all the convassings and meetings were stopped.
On the election day most of the students were present. They were very happy and convincing their friends to vote their party. The polling started at exact time. All the voters were standing in queu. At evening the polling was stopped. In presence of the principal and all the candidates, counting of vote started. The principal of the college announced the name of the winners. We were very glad that our union won the election.
College union election is actually a practical procedure of learning, specially in democratic state like Pakistan. If we follow the correct rules and regulations of election, there will be no any discripancy in election and the people of our country may elect a suitable candidate
